The study presents unknown archives of the GUKPPiW [The Main Office of Control of Press, Publications and Shows]. The source materials indicate that when reading Ireneusz Iredyński’s first volume of verse in 1958, the censors formulated a multitude of unfavourable opinions not only about the given text but also about “young” poetry in general.
